From Puno we took a short trip out onto Lake Titicaca, and its great to say I've visited this, and from around its shores it is magnificent, but the commercialism of the floating islands was a bit disappointing. You can get glimpses of the life they once led, but the whole area was geared just for tourism with hundreds of families just trying to attract the tourist dollar.
