Antigua Day 2

Well this tour is now finished and I'm on my own until I get to Peru in a couple of days.

Great day out today, the forecast was for rain and thunderstorms, but none eventuated and was a warm cloudy day, which was good as this was my planned day tour on the quad bikes doing the "Antigua Mountain Tour"

There were just 2 of us in the tour and it went well, driving through the cobblestone streets, paved roads, and some off road riding, we visited 4 Mountains around Antigua which include El Cerrro de San Cristobal El Alto, where  there is an organic farm that has the best view of the valley. Santa Maria de Jesus a local village located at the base of the Agua Volcano and ¨Earth Lodge¨ a relaxing place that has unique and wonderful views of the valley, volcanoes, and nature in general. The last stop was ¨El Cerro¨ de La Cruz for a great aerial view of Antigua and the villages around the valley. Unfortunately because of the clouds I did not get to see the volcanoes, just a glancing view through the clouds.

After the tour had finished I had a another walk around the town, sat for a while in the town square talking to a local guide, who was not working as it was Sunday, checked out the local markets, then got dinner, and as I was on my own ate street food, which was great, Yum.
