Well today we had some time to look around La Paz before taking to our new Bolivian Motorcycles.
after lunch we set off for Coroico, but we didn't get out of the city before one of the bikes broke down, which the mechanic fixed after an hours delay.
Our ride today was supposed to be short, easy and relaxing, but as we climbed up over the Andes to 4,700 mtrs a heavy wet fog set in, and remained with us until we descended again. I said a few days ago that the most dangerous conditions you can get here is riding in the night when its raining, Well I was wrong, riding in heavy fog on these twisting mountain roads is worse.
we descended into the Bolivian highland jungle, which is quite a contrast from the treeless plains we came from just a short 100 kms away.
as we arrive in Coroico a local festival is under way with loud music and dancing not far from the hotel, this will be nice to watch later, but the loud sound is penetrating the hotel which may not be so good when I try to get some sleep.
tomorrow is a rest day here for us and the festival goes all weekend.
