Mirik mar 17

Well I managed to catch the train ok, it was all very civilised, and not what I expected, The E-Ticket was good, a porter showed me to my sleeper, gave me a blanket & pillow, and I settled in to a reasonable sleep. woken at 6am by the porter bringing Tea, then breakfast. One of my roomies was a Hindu Swami, who talked much of the trip about his religion, in some things we are not far apart, but in others many miles.

the Train arrived at midday, about 75 mins late, and there was no one to meet me, luckily my phone worked and I made contact with the agency who sent the driver. after picking up others at the airport we made our way to Jagjeet Hotel, Mirik hill station a 50km car ride arriving at 4pm.

We passed many tea plantations already, planted all the way up some extremely sharp hills, its already cold and I'm wearing a jumper, so luckily I packed for cold weather.
