Kalimpong 21 Mar

We passed by Sikkim's capital Gangtok and along a branch of the old silk road, although you wouldn't know it, its just a busy road that sometimes narrows to a single lane due to damage or repairs or vehicles blocking it.  Some of today's run is also along India's #1 road in this area, but you wouldn't know that either cause its just the same as all the others, then along the Teesta river to Gangtok - Kalimpong.

With its 50.000 inhabitants the hill station of Kalimpong is a rather small city for India and therefore more relaxed than Darjeeling, we had a late luch then walked around this small town, dinner and stay overnight at Orchid Retreat Kalimpong. - 150km today of reasonably good  roads (for this area), but more traffic.
