Well I got to Varanasi, after 24hrs travel via KL & Dehli. One things for sure is you cant mistake where you are, India has a sight smell & rythym all of its own. Found my hotel with the aid of a couple of street urchins, who got me to the hotel afte about 15 mins walking though the backstreets of varanasi. the hotel is a bit of a dive, a suit is not what I'd call it. but I guess location is everything, right on the Ganges, but I have to keep everything locked up tight cause of the monkeys that break in.
Took an evening boat ride along the ghats, where they were bening bodies and also having a festival, quite a scene. going out again at sunrise tomorrow.
