Our first day of rain, so the game plan was slow & steady as we carefully negotiated the never ending twisting roads of New Zealand. As we make our way to Greymouth, we once again encounter the forest clad mountains of Lewis Pass, plus more stunning mountain scenery on route to the west coast. We then turned South along the coast and stopped to see the beautiful scenery surrounding the unusual Punakaiki Pancake Rocks. The Scenery along the coast would have been stunning except for the poor visibility due to the rain. as I'm writing this I am drying out my gear ready for tomorrow, which promises to be another overcast but fine day on the road :)
