Singapore 2

Good day today, used the hop on off bus to see lots of the city, spent some time in little India, then went on to the night safari at the zoo, after that by accident we got on a bus that did a night tour around the city, unbelievable night lights, and got dropped of within walking distance of the hotel.

 

last day tomorrow so this will be the last blog, plan to just stay local, may do a river cruise in the morning, then catch the train back to the airport.

Singapore

Yesterday we spent the day at the Gardens by the Bay, so many displays, plants and flowers and  Rob enjoyed  taking photo's of the flowers.  later on we ate dinner there and waited for the light and sound show.

we spent most of today walking around China Town and relaxing.

Last day in Saigon, arrived in Singapore

After some final shopping we went fora walk along the river, had lunch and got back to the hotel in good time to catch our transfer to the airport.

 

we got to Singapore just in time to catch the last train out of the airport and then transfer to the last train going down-town to where our apartment is, near clarke quay, 2 bedrooms and a separate lounge kitchen dining.

Saigon 2

Morning tour of Saigon today and the last activity of the cruise, We visited the Cathedral, post office, Reunification Palace, war museum, pagoda, and farewell lunch.

after that more shopping in the markets and along the antiques St. at one stage the primary school finished and there were dozens of kids all being picked up by parents on scooters. and seeing extravagant Christmas decorations was a bit unexpected.

Last day in Vietnam tomorrow - on to Singapore.

Saigon

After saying farewell to the crew and our ship we were bussed into Saigon. and after booking into  the hotel suite, which is about half the size of a house, with 2 toilets a kitchen and lounge, we walked to the markets where everyone had a good time shopping and joking with the locals.

in the evening we went to see the water puppets and had dinner, a long day.

Today is our last full day on the boat. we had  stops at different villages, at the first we walked around the village and the market where there was a Bonsai display/nursery. in the afternoon visiting rice paper, toffee & popped rice making area's. then cruise to our last overnight

stop near Saigon.

Vietnam

We knew almost as soon as we set foot in the village that we were back in Vietnam. Todays tour was using bicycle rickshaw to  visit a silk manufacturer and then a matt manufacturer, then on to visit the floating fish farms. back on the boat for an afternoons cruising to our next overnight stop.
